Our Libraries

The Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) libraries function as the information centres of the College’s three schools. They aim to support and enrich the whole College curriculum and to empower students through education to become responsible users of information. In addition, a strong reading culture is encouraged and developed, by providing reading programs, various information literacy activities and an extensive collection of over 70,000 resources.

The libraries are automated and online access to the Destiny Library Management system is available to the whole College community. Library facilities can be used before/after school, during breaks and at lunch time. In addition, students and classes can also use the Libraries during the school day for individual research or class projects. Information research skills are also taught in collaboration with classroom teachers.

The collection includes fiction/nonfiction books and e-books, resources for Chinese and European languages taught in the curriculum, online databases, Playaways [an audio book service], DVDs, CDs, revision guides, online periodicals and newspapers, and reference resources.
