2016 igcSe Results

Congratulations to our Year 11 cohort who received their IGCSE results in late August. Our Year 11 Class of 2016 achieved a remarkable 75.3% of all grades are A*or A with 66% of the students achieving an A average or higher.

These examination scores have been achieved during another successful year in sport, with many ISAC and ACAMIS wins, and high level of performance in Art, Music and Drama.

Head of Senior School, Richard Hawkins commented: ‘It is my firm belief that these excellent results are achieved because all the Sport, Drama, Music, Art, service, House, leadership and other enrichment activities our students are involved in. The hard work and sheer energy that students and staff put into not just academics but everything else that they do, leads to a culture of achievement, innovation, enthusiasm and confidence, enabling students to do well in their IGCSEs, the IB Diploma, and beyond. Well done to everybody involved.’

From the Head of School

Pastoral care is at the heart of all we do, and students are supported by an excellent and committed staff. Every student belongs to a House, which is the basis of the system of guidance and welfare that enables us to take personal care of each student. We encourage our students to make the most of the international context in order to embrace other cultures and develop lifelong friendships. Many children have mentors from older year groups and our strong links to the community beyond the school gates mean that our students maintain a broad and compassionate outlook.
