Dulwich Curriculum

Dulwich College Beijing was established to offer a premium education to the international community in Beijing.  The curriculum is based on the best practices of UK and international systems providing a broad and balanced education with the required specialisation in later years.  The language of instruction throughout the school is English and our policy is to recruit fully qualified, native English-speaking teachers, with experience of the English National Curriculum and other international systems.

Under the auspices and guidance of the renowned Dulwich College London, the curriculum development of Dulwich College Beijing has been professionally monitored and assessed according to demanding criteria.  The term curriculum refers to all activities, in or out of class, on or off site, which are organised by the school.  The following statements are under-pinned by the school's overall aims.

  • Our curriculum aims to meet individual needs ensuring equality of opportunity for all and promoting high expectations which enable students to develop to the best of their ability. Our support and guidance programme links students, families and the school in partnership.

  • The curriculum is broad and balanced, reflecting the international context of the school, whilst keeping abreast with current developments.
  • The curriculum ensures the development of the skills required for study and for life, promotes sound values and aims to make learning an enjoyable experience. Continuity of skills, content and assessment is carried through the Key Stages. Post 16, students are encouraged to develop independence in their learning and flexibility in their approach to further education and to their future careers.
